Finger on the Pulse- London Design Week 2011

Hi All, just a little note to let you all know that the Chelsea Harbour Design Week starts next Sunday 13 March and runs until Friday 18.

It’ll be an excellent opportunity to visit the centre (free entry) and its showrooms that will be showcasing their new Spring/ Summer collections. They are running design lectures (£15 a ticket),  masterclasses and professional practice seminars taken by leading experts and hosts such as Homes & Gardens, IDFX, & Elle Decoration.

It’s an ideal place to network and gain ideas and inspiration. I went to a few lectures last year and found it was worthwhile.

This time around I’ll be attending on Sunday 13 March at 12.30pm for for a lecture on bespoke decorating and also on Tuesday 15 at 3pm  for a lecture by Tom Gosling on creating furniture for today’s interiors.

There are so many other  lectures I wish I could attend but I’ve got a day job and unfortunately most of the events take place during working hours, however, there is a late night on at the Designers Guild home store (Kings Rd.) hosted by The Telegraph Magazine on Thursday 17 March at 6:30pm- 8:30pm. Tricia Guild will be discussing her innovative approach to design followed by light refreshments. I’ll be attending both for lecture AND refreshments!

If you’re interested, advance booking is recommended. Click here for more information or alternatively visit the site www.dcch.co.uk
